30cents, but because of gambling laws in the state I live in it actually doesn’t even let me play it so the money bucket is useless to me. I do want to add-By leveling up I slowly got a teensy bit in my “cash” bucket, enough to play the tournament that’s gems plus. Everytime I’m close to running out of the diamonds I end up winning a couple games or going up a level and getting a bunch. I have ADHD and have started switching to that to hyperfixate on when I have time to kill between meetings instead of scrolling Instagram-I’ve played an embarrassing amount so far but haven’t spent a dollar. I also play this game, randomly downloaded a couple weeks ago. Thank you for writing this all out and saving me the effort haha. If those ever run out I'd delete the app and find a different one rather than spend actual money on it but I've had no problem winning enough to keep going with the diamonds. Like I said I only play with the "diamonds" and bonus cash. I can't imagine anyone but a Solitaire wizard actually coming out ahead on the game. There are a variety of tournaments with varying payouts, the higher the payouts the higher the entry fee and more players in the tournament so harder to win. If you can resist that then it's free to play. Highest I got built up was like 20 bucks at one point.Īnd of course they have little pop-ups for deals and such to entice you to deposit money. But it still didn't cost me anything since I was initially playing with bonus cash and not money I deposited into the app. That money you can withdraw but I just played cash tournaments with it until I lost it all (so yeah, like gambling). I've done it and occasionally won a few bucks. If you've got the patience you can build up enough to play a small cash tournament every few weeks. That cash cannot be withdrawn, only used in the game. You also get small amounts of "bonus cash" for free every few days if you log in daily. But it's a decent Solitaire game that isn't loaded with ads, none at all actually, so if you're good enough at Solitaire to win enough diamonds to keep playing without spending money it's fun if you like playing against other people. The tournaments that only cost diamonds, only pay out diamonds so you can't win money by just playing for free. The diamonds, you get some in the beginning to start off with plus you get daily bonuses to collect. You pay to play the money "tournaments" by loading the money on your account through PayPal, Google play, whatever. So how it work is, you can play with "diamonds" (free) or you can play with real money. It is kinda bullshit, I mean I guess you could win money but it would be hard. I play anyway, but let's be real, this isn't. Once that became clear, my ads mysteriously increased to one every five or so games. I assume the frequency varies based on whether or not you actually put money into the game, which I haven't and never will. Once you invest some time and build a balance, then the ads start. The games that cost nothing but points are significantly easier than those where you wager earned (or paid) dollars. This is why you can come in "first" with a score of 1500 but in the next game, clear the board and score a personal best of 10000 (or whatever) but finish last. Those fake opponents are generated AFTER each game, as are their "scores." Your "rank" in each game - and therefore, if and what you "win" - is determined by an algorithm that manipulates those "opponent" results. I don't believe I've every competed against a real person. Check out the "names." They are all three random words: "BellLinkSocks" or some such. Look, it's a good time waster, but it's totally a setup.Īll of your "opponents" are fake. /r/OutOfTheLoop: Current events you may have missed./r/explainlikeimfive: Simple explanations of complex subjects./r/CasualConversation: Casual conversations (duh)./r/askscience: Professional-level scientific explanations./r/AskReddit: General questions and opinions.Try and be objective - a product may be legitimate even though you personally dislike it.We don't require that comments include sources, but we appreciate it when they do!
